I only ever travel with a carry-on, so space is li I only ever travel with a carry-on, so space is limited and any beauty products have to serve multiple purposes and/or be really worth the space they take up! Because let’s be honest, I don’t usually have much to spare 😂

I could easily expand this list to my top 10 travel-size beauty products, but let’s start with the top five that really give the most bang for their buck...

1. Tartelette Tubing Mascara: I just switched to tubing mascaras and am blown away! A tubing mascara is especially helpful because it doesn’t smudge, flake, or run, even in humid climates. It also washes off with warm water so I don’t need to pack eye makeup remover. I like Tarte’s Tartelette travel-size for everyday and the XL for evenings or special events when I want more dramatic lashes.

2. Kevin Murphy Minis: Before these, I spent the night before trips in mad scientist mode, pouring full-size products into tiny bottles. Then I switched to Kevin Murphy minis of my shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. The quality is amazing and a little goes a long way - I usually get several trips or more out of each mini.

3. Ilia Multi-Stick: These are especially great for blush or contour because you don’t need to pack a brush - they blend with just your fingers. The shade pictured above is Whisper, but they come in a range of pinks, peaches, reds, berries + shimmer finishes for highlighting.

4. Make Up For Ever Pore Minimizing Primer: I didn’t wear primer until I got this tiny travel-size tube at Sephora. It barely takes up room but works overtime, minimizing pores, smoothing fine lines, and creating a blurred canvas for foundation. I don’t wear it every day, but it’s great for evenings out or special events. (It claims to last 24 hours but I hope to never be awake that long!)

5. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5%: This little bottle has been everywhere with me. If you’re like me, you’re in more photos than usual when traveling but also tired, jet-lagged, eating salty food, and maybe enjoying more drinks than usual...leading to dark, puffy eyes! A couple drops under the eyes help with puffiness and make dark circles less noticeable.

What else would you add to the list?
Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novel Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella - often called the oldest pharmacy in the world - is a great stop for beauty lovers visiting Florence ⚜️

Dating back to the 13th century, the flagship store on Via della Scala feels more like a museum than a shop, with frescoed ceilings and chandeliers.

While nothing compares to visiting the original location in person, they also have boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo - plus a website for online ordering.
